First thoughts of Summer

So, as usual, it's taken me about 5 to 6 days to get into the swing of things again. That first week off is mostly just for rest and catching up. I have to rest that much just to get my creative juices flowing again. In the mean time, I've been seeing friends, having fun at home on the computer and in the garden, and starting to get my idea factory up and running again. A sampling of some random thoughts may give you and idea of my present state of mind:

• "Everybody lies all the time." This was a statement from one of my main characters (Det. Gorrin on Law and Order: Criminal Intent) that just struck me. It's a survival mechanism that is effective but what a heavy price it takes on the one who uses it.

• I know that one bought of weather is not enough to be definitive proof of the effect of Anthropogenic Warming and Climate Change (climate is the average over decades) but my anecdotal experience makes me lean towards that conclusion. Consider the last two Spring seasons we've had so far. Hmm......

• Sis gave me some irises that I need to plant.... BUT, I have such a bad back that I think I need to plan on taking some ALEAVE ® ahead of time as a prophylactic measure as I dig them apart and plant them in the margins of the back garden.
